really? i'm shocked! okay, not really.

Approval of Bush's Handling of Iraq Drops

Okay look. It's not like he did any planning for the war in the first place. He's had lots of the American public snowed for ages. But you can only lie to people's faces for so long. Sooner or later people start to wise up. We're coming up on the 4th anniversary of the PDB that he ignored. George's numbers are just going to keep dropping.

You're right, at least to an extent.
It's good to hear that a lot of people are wising up, but some will go their grave supporting him. Just like people through history who lived their entire lives supporting dictators and other horrible leaders. I don't know if people like that actually believe what they say or they're just too embarrassed to admit they used really bad judgement. I'd have a lot more respect for those people if they just admitted their mistake in supporting him, how foolish they feel, how sorry they are and how they might want to support an opposing view.
That's a lot to ask of some people, though.

How many soldiers have died in Iraq and Afganistan now? Just over 1900? When it hits 2000, the media will go nuts. And when it hits the same number as those who died in the World Trade Center....
WHEW!

i always think, "well, now they'll see" and then "okay, now" and then "okay this time for sure". there just seems to be this amazing cult of personality surrounding him. and i just don't understand how it can be. he's really not inspiring in any manner.

aaaaww, look, my first comment spam! so special! i'm touched!

Someday, when I get my first one, I'll keep it forever.
But I'll delete all the ones after that.

shayera, have you seen the latest AP poll regarding Bush's popularity? Less than half now think he's an honest person,
but a solid majority say he's likable.

Yeah, man...
I really like dishonest people,
don't you?

I used to think that with the chances of last year's election results being so different from the exit polls at 1-959,000 against, the election was rigged.
But after THIS poll,
I'm not so sure...

t, yeah, i saw that one. and i went into full on head shaking mode.
people just seem to love to cling to their delusions.
but i still think the elections were rigged.
