if the economy is so great...

GM cutbacks portend tougher road ahead

I forgot to mention this yesterday in my disgust against Dick "dick" Cheney. If the economy is doing so well, how come a major manufacturer is cutting 30,000 jobs?

What I want to know, if the company is claiming financial hardship and that's why they have to dump their workers, what the heck is the CEO doing that makes him worth the $4MIL+ they're paying him?

I love a good stock holder revolt! Bring all the CEOs in front of the guys that own a few shares but pay attention to what's happening and make the CEOs answer to them.

Remember guys, His Imperial Majesty- The Lord duh-bya, told us all last year, right before the (s)election that: We're turning the corner." He forgot to mention that his statement was directed at those type of CEOs of the megacorps.

Anyway- I extend a sincere wish to you all for a safe & happy Thanksgiving weekend!

And thanks for your efforts Shayera!
