What a great person that man is. Wouldn't it be great to financially be able to do something like that?
Many years ago Karen & I knew a poor man who was raising his two little kids by himself and working like a dog. We were talking one year during the Christmas season and he told us that he couldn't afford Christmas that year for the kids and he got emotional as he told us.
We couldn't really afford it because we were young and raising four little ones, but we went out that weekend and bought a bunch of toys for his little ones and gave them to him. That was our Christmas present to ourselves that year. It really does feel better to give than receive.
Thanks. I just wish we were wealthy and could just help the homeless and the poor "get back on their feet". There are way too many people- especially innocent children- that are suffering on this planet. It hurts to know that. And it angers to know that there are a lot of people like bush who would rather spend hundreds of billions of dollars on death and destruction.
About "Secret Santa": I know. It makes you think how unfair life is sometimes- that cancer is threatening the life of a good person like that and leaving alone a lot of bad people. I don't think I can word that right, but you know what I mean.
Chuck and Shayera you missed something here. You don't have to have millions to spread the kindness. Remember the end of "It's a Wonderful Life"? The whole town got together and gave a bit of what they had to save the Baileys. I've seen this happen in real life many times. And you don't have to give just money. You can give advice, a job lead, a new piece of clothing that's sitting in your closet that you didn't really like. Need I say more?
