If the book is so very precious to you, please put it somewhere safe on your bookshelf. Don't leave it in a box in the garage for ten years. And when your husband donates that box of books, it's not my fault. And stop calling me about it! We looked for it when you called! We don't have it!
Also, just because your seven year old son reads at second grade level doesn't mean you didn't check out the book. And yes, you did check out the book. It was scanned out to you 5 seconds before that book that you admit you lost.
