This Moment on Earth

Did you know I went to a book signing last night? All joking aside, this was absolutely worth it. Both Kerrys are very dedicated to getting the message about global climate change and what has to be done out. Anyone who was able to hear John Kerry on the stump when he ran for president already knows he considers the environmental crisis to be important. Teresa Kerry is just as dedicated.

Just a few quirky notes.
As I came off the freeway and nearer the signing, there were motor cycle cops all over the place. I'm not exaggerating when I say there was over a hundred cops all over the place. Blocking off streets and things. Turns out President Pissypants was going to a fund raiser about 5 minutes away from Duttons. The motorcade, sirens blaring and helicopters flying overhead went by at one point.
I met a man who had been moved by John Kerry's message to register and vote for the first time in his life.
There was a gentleman in the audience who was on the second Swiftboat. He was very quiet and unassuming. His very nice wife was his biggest cheerleader and shared his story while we all waited to get our books signed. He received his Bronze Star the same day John Kerry received his Silver Star.

How exciting! And how lucky that you weren't at the other event.

Lol! So true Jennifer. I am really glad I went. The traditional Los Angeles excuse for anything is "it's too far". But, hell, there's so much to do, might as well get in a car and go do it.
