Court: U.S. can't detain suspected combatant without charges

"To sanction such presidential authority to order the military to seize and indefinitely detain civilians, even if the President calls them 'enemy combatants,' would have disastrous consequences for the constitution — and the country," the court panel said.


Notice that the new title of the article is: Court rules in favor if enemy combatant.
Don't you love that?
I think the court is exactly right. No one has the right to imprison another person without charging that person with a crime. The law applies to everybody. Not just the people you want it to.
