L.A. clinic the nation's first to treat Chagas disease

The clinic is the first of it's kind in the Country. 1 in 7,000 blood donors in the Los Angeles area test positive for the antibody of the disease.

Chagas disease is a vector borne disease, making it similar to lyme disease. It's spread from the bite of a conenose, or kissing bug. Ick.
