Bye Bye 4th Amendment

Senate bows to Bush, approves surveillance bill

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Just in case anybody needed a reminder. One of my Senators (Boxer) voted correctly. Feinstein's office heard from me. Politely. Through gritted teeth.

Looks like the ACLU and a few other groups have other ideas about this.
You'll notice that this story vanished from the MSM.
I will give Barbara Boxer credit for trying to fight this.

Yeah. I think that the ACLU had been prepared for quite a while. And good for them!
Boxer is almost always a fabulous Senator. The other one. Not so much.
