I'm still sure you can't do that

Palin's husband refuses to testify in probe

You know, I'm still pretty sure that the LAW says that when you get subpoenaed, you actually have to show up to court. Other wise they hold you in contempt and throw you in jail.
But apparently these days, if you are involved in a high enough profile case, you can just say no.
I know we say this a lot, but can you begin to imagine what would happen if a Democrat tried this?

First off, a Dem would be in jail for sure if they tried this. You know, it occured to me the other day that the reason bullies become so is because their behavior escalates, unchecked.
Same with these pesky Republicans. No one will stand up to them and "check" them. It is not so much that they get away with everything as much as the law (and those charged with its enforcement) stand by and let them. To call that disgusting would be an understatement.

I long for the day when someone will give them all hell and a hockey puck -- right in their noggins. Ignore your subpoena? Then, darling, go to jail like everyone else.

As I understand, the Alaska Lege is out of session, and they would have to vote on contempt charges.

It seems they are betting that nothing can really happen before the election, they've dropped enough legal horsepower to slow everything down... and after the election, it won't matter. they can unlimber the pardon machine.

We are ruled by psychopaths.
