Man. Talk about tanking the race. Wow. I don't even really know what to say. Michigan's a pretty huge state. That's 17 electoral college votes they're surrendering. 33 days out from election day.
I seem to recall him getting booed in Michigan after which the crowd started chanting Obama 08. I hope Pa treats him like Reagan back in 80. The folks in Pa egged the presidential limo.

I would suggest it is because he needs to focus on PA -- not bloody likely, OH and FL.
I am never quite sure what goes thru his people's heads.
