I haven't posted much this week.
Mostly because I've been extremely busy at work.
But also because I've had no real words to express my feelings about this week.
You all know that I think George Bush is the worst thing ever to occupy the post of President. I think he's a crook, a liar and a thief.
My mother always says that I am extremely stubborn. That I make my decisions, whether it's about a person or a situation or whatever, and I stick to it. And she's mostly right.
I looked at candidate Bush on the road the first time and realized I would never find anything about him that I would like. And I was right.
He's mistreated the American public from the day he bulldozed himself into office. His advisors are liars. Karen Hughes and Karl Rove and Dick Cheney have never met a lie they didn't like.
I was passionately for Al Gore and John Kerry. Not anti-Bush, pro Gore and Kerry. And they were treated miserably. By the campaign, by the press and yes, even by some Democrats.
Anyway.
Bush shamed us as a country on September 11, 2001.
He hid in a classroom of children while our country was under terrorist attack. Then he hid on his big plane. He then came out of his hiding place days later to go stand on the corpses of the murdered and promised to get the guy responsible.
Yeah, how's that going for you George?
Bush shamed our country again when instead of finishing the job in Afghanistan, he turned his attention to Iraq. A war of choice, a war of greed. Sucking money and badly needed resources out of the country at a time when we desperately need them.
He shamed us again when he strutted out of a fighter jet, wearing a flight suit costume with a stuffed codpiece and said "mission accomplished". Do you remember all the lies associated with that little trip?
He shamed the country again last December when he waited 4 days to come out from his vacation and offer words of condolence to the over 500, 000 dead and missing in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India. And let's not forget that the Adminstration had to be shamed into increasing their aid contribution.
Bush shamed us again this summer. He went on yet another vacation. And during that time, he ignored and criticized the mother of a dead soldier.
George shamed us again this week. Four days went by before he did anything at all to help the people of New Orleans. You know and I know that his "efforts" have been too little, too late.

William Rehnquist died tonight. And George "miserable failure" Bush is going to get to appoint another Supreme Court judge.
He just doesn't deserve this privilege.
