things not to do.

Hi! I'm really glad you're finally getting around to cleaning out your garage! Yeah, things really do pile up when you ignore them for twenty years. Or so.
But here's the thing. If you don't feel the need to keep this stuff in your home please tell me why I should put it on my library shelves?
Those yellowed, broken-spined things? They're not good for anything but recycling.

Here's what our local library does with many of the donated books. They have shelves at the entry and sell the books for .25 to $1. You never know. I've been looking for a couple of books for years now. I'm sure they'll turn up some day. Or maybe you could sell them as fire starters. Just sayin...

We have a Friend's group bookstore where we pass on things that we aren't going to use. But yesterday we we literally getting things that should have been put into recycling. Things that were falling apart at the touch. It's been really warm here and I think people are going through and doing spring cleaning early.
