2 Patriot Act provisions ruled unlawful

U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken ruled that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, as amended by the Patriot Act, "now permits the executive branch of government to conduct surveillance and searches of American citizens without satisfying the probable cause requirements of the Fourth Amendment."

Love that little term "probable cause." Got to prove why you need to snoop.

I wish I understood how the courts worked a little better. I assume that this will makes its way to SCOTUS where they will promptly override this decision since Bush has stacked the courts with a bunch of corporatists.

Poli, that's probably true. Once in a while a bit of integrity pokes through. But not often.
