White House denies leaking info that hurt Al-Qaeda spying
Yeah. Sure.
I don't know if you've had a chance to see this story. The Administration was informed about latest bin Laden video to hit the airwaves before it actually sent to alJazeera. And they were asked to hold off making information about it public until after. But, oops, somehow it showed up on Fox News.
In the process, the leaker made al Qaeda aware they had a vulnerability. A vulnerability that intelligence agencies had been cultivating as a way to get information. But once it was discovered, it was closed. Losing an intelligence gathering opportunity.
