I saw this over at imdb. So, the Catholic League, which is a lay group that has no official role in the Catholic Church has been in a lathering froth about the release of "The Golden Compass" movie. They've been calling for boycotts of the movie, etc. Basically, the usual ignorance they normally spout.
Well, turns out, the U.S. Conference of [Catholic] Bishops doesn't have the same qualms as the Catholic League. Yeah. It's not all good, since they're delighted that all the "anti-Catholic" sentiment of the books have been left out of the movie.
What ever. I loved the books. And I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.
