Our "fine" legislators, on both sides of the aisle are spending lots of time wasting hot air on stripping out education and jobs from this stimulus bill. Of course, if they left in the supposed pork, that green line would actually start to trend up.
How can anyone look at that and not be scared as hell? It's from Nancy Pelosi's office. So she at least is aware of the absolute distress of the actual working person.

At least your position is at the moment safe. But as this mess continues I'd keep a close eye on state and local funding for libraries.
They keep adding extentions on unemployment. Screw that put me to work before I get to old or worn out.
