Part of the reason Murdoch's minions are whining so much about Franken's win.

Fox v. Franken

The lawsuit that Fox attempted to bring against Franken when "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them" was published. If you remember, Fox was pretty much laughed out of court. And Murdoch properties (Fox, WSJ) are doing their very best to be petty mean spirited lunatics in their behavior towards Franken.
I wish I'd been able to locate an audio of Franken describing the trial. I heard him tell the story once on the radio. I laughed so hard I had tears coming down my face.
Of course, he gets the last laugh on them. Al Franken, is after all, the duly elected Senator from Minnesota.

He wrote a book that made them look like idiots, so they sued, and at the trial he made them look like idiots. Now he is a U.S. Senator, and he might just have an occasion or two to make them look like idiots there, too.

That case was the main reason I bought the book. What did they expect from a satirist?

I think Franken will have his hands full just learning the ropes. The other senators (especially repubs) like to be mean to the freshmen.
